The PCT held a public consultation webinar for the draft PCT Toolkit on Tax Treaty Negotiations on November 4, 2020. The toolkit authors and expert speakers discussed how the toolkit can help countries, followed by a demo of the interactive, web-based version of the toolkit and a feedback roundtable with experienced negotiators.

The expert panelists will present the new PCT Toolkit and discuss how the toolkit can help address complex issues on taxing offshore indirect transfer of assets.

On 16 April, African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF) and OECD joined forces to organize a webinar with over 70 participants from 27 ATAF member countries, to discuss tax policy and tax administration measures governments are considering or could consider as part of their immediate response to COVID-19.

The Platform for Collaboration on Tax (PCT) – a joint initiative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), United Nations (UN) and World Bank Group – published several toolkits, which contain practical guidance for countries to better protect their tax base in the context of transfer pricing.

The Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank, and the JVI hosted a high-level conference on building more effective tax systems by adopting the MTRS approach to tax system reform.

The high-level conference on "Medium-Term Revenue Strategy (MTRS)—Building More Effective Tax Systems”, jointly organised by the IMF, the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance, and the World Bank were held on 29-30 October 2019 at the Federal Academy of Finance in Vienna, Austria.

The World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund hosted the Tax Sunday Conference on “Strengthening Tax Systems in a Digitalizing World” on 20 October 2019.
