The purpose of the project is to support tax authorities in Kenya, and Uganda combat tax evasion by building capacity among its investigators in terms of enhancing their core skills, sector specific knowledge and approaches.
The objective of this Public Expenditure Review is to support DRC’s recently approved strategic plan for reforming public finance for 2022-2028 by advising authorities on improving the mobilization and use of public resources to meet the country’s complex development challenges.
Global knowledge public good: objective is to measure the evolution of tax systems in developing countries over the past 50 years and their distributional implications. The results will consist in publicly available data-sets on (1) effective tax rates across countries and (2) Consumption shares by store types across the income distribution.
To contribute to the World Bank’s engagements in Côte d’Ivoire, Benin, Togo and Guinea by providing timely- and policy-relevant analytical work on poverty, vulnerability and gender, as well as providing upstream operational support on distributional analysis of reforms and policies.
The project aims to support Chad’s authorities to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of tax and customs administrations and improve revenue collection. These improvements will contribute to support revenue mobilization efforts in the medium and long term.
The first objective of this regional study is to map out the fiscal and debt vulnerabilities of the Central American countries and the Dominican Republic (CADR) after two consecutive crises (COVID-19 and the war in Ukraine). and some severe natural disasters suchas hurricanes Eta and Iota in 2020. Part of this work is retrospective in which it tries to quantify the fiscal risks emerged from the aforementioned events, but another part of the work is forward-looking as it will provide updated debt sustainability assessments and calculate the potential impact of natural disasters in the macro-fiscal environment.

The second objective is to assess policies and options for the countries to address their fiscal vulnerabilities by looking at possible revenue mobilization measures including environmental tax reforms .
The objective is to support participating Caribbean countries in the design and implementation of tax reforms that effectively contribute to strengthening fiscal and financial resilience in the broader pursuit of improved climate-resilient growth and inclusion.
This review aims to take stock of the progress made since the 2018 PER and draw lessons on how to better build fiscal space. It will specifically identify policy options to create fiscal space for growth-enhancing expenditures and needed investments in human capital .
To support the government's fiscal consolidation plans by providing evidence and policy recommendations for increasing spending efficiency and improving revenue collection.
To support strengthening fiscal policy in Brazil, making it more equitable, efficient and fiscally and environmentally sustainable.
