The purpose of this activity is to establish a core knowledge base on tax and digital transformation and develop a capacity for training tax administrations in leading digital transformation processes. The core target audience is tax administration and Ministry of Finance officials involved or soon to be involved in decisions related to digital transformation, whether funded by the government or under a World Bank-financed operation. The knowledge created shall also be available to sharpen WBG’s operational teams delivering digitalization projects to clients.
To support the Government of Ethiopia to enhance its revenue collection capacity in an efficient and equitable manner with a focus on strengthening the legal framework and capacity in the areas of international trade taxation as well as selected domestic tax issues.
To support the Government of Ethiopia in building capacity in data collection and analysis on taxation across different socioeconomic and demographic groups — and, in turn, improving the evidence base to inform more equitable, better-targeted policies on tax collection and public expenditure.

The development objective of Eswatini Public Expenditure Review is to examine and analyze options to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of public expenditure and revenue mobilization, in support of economic recovery and medium term growth.
To support enhancing the quality and scope of the taxpayer register in Kosovo through technical assistance to the Tax Administration in Kosovo (TAK). In the longer term, the activity will contribute to increasing domestic revenue collection.
To inform the dialogue with the Government of Egypt on how to enhance the impact of policies and programs on poverty reduction and shared prosperity. And to inform the design and implementation of World Bank projects to maximize their impact on poverty reduction and shared prosperity.
This activity seeks to strengthen the capacity of tax administration agencies of Guatemala to improve tax compliance and transparency and thereby contribute to increased domestic revenue mobilization.
Help the Tunisian Government undertake the economic reforms needed to move the economy on a fiscally and economic sustainable path, thus complementing the political reforms of the 2011 revolution.
The overall objective of this project is to build capacity in developing countries in the EAP region to combat tax crimes through a whole-of-government approach and strengthening international/regional cooperation. More specifically, the purpose is to: support revenue authorities in identifying risks that could facilitate tax evasion; further develop their legal, institutional, operational capacity to deter, investigate, and prosecute tax evasion; and increase regional cooperation in this area.
