On Thursday, July 23, 2020, The PCT held a webinar to launch its latest Toolkit on the Taxation of Offshore Indirect Transfer of Assets with the participation of over 200 attendees worldwide.

The PCT published its Progress Report 2020, which gives a snapshot of the world’s four leading multilateral organizations’ cooperation in the area of domestic resource mobilization, including in their responses to COVID-19.

The Platform for Collaboration on Tax releases a Concept Note for PCT Workshops on Engagement for and Dissemination of PCT Toolkits laying down the purpose, design and expected outputs of capacity building workshops.

The Platform for Collaboration on Tax (PCT) released a Toolkit on the Taxation of Offshore Indirect Transfers (OIT) providing guidance on the design and implementation issues when one country seeks to tax gains on the sale of interests in an entity owning assets located in that country by an entity which is a tax resident in another country.

Once again, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF) joined forces to deliver a virtual meeting, this time on Business Continuity Considerations in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.The virtual meeting was held on Thursday, 28 May 2020, and served to share knowledge and experiences and discuss African country measures.
